"My weekend in Pomona started off pretty good," Peggy continued, hesitantly. "But I need to make more good, consistent passes. On my first qualifying pass, George (crew chief George Bryce) noticed that I rolled at the line a lot."

"I was a pleasure to get to hang with the Rush Racing team all weekend," agreed Bryce. "All those guys were here and it was all cool."
"There were lots of spectators there and everything was great," added Klement. "We just didn't win it."

"She was a celebrity at her school," laughed Peggy, who's become quite a celebrity herself. "The main thing is, I learned a lot this year. Now I just can't wait for next year to start."
